Our Web Development Process

Current Website Evaluation (if you have an existing site) We perform a free 30 minute evaluation on your existing website to identify what is working, and what areas could be improved (using the pop quiz as a guide). We also discuss your objectives for the site, and make strategic recommendations.

Or Discussion on Your Objectives for a New Site: We offer a free 30 minute consultation to help define your objectives and specifications for your website. We help you define your web strategy and make recommendations for a website that achieves your objectives.

Scope of Work Defined/Quote: Based on the website evaluation, and our conversation about your specifications, we will arrive at a complete scope of work needed to deliver on your website goals. We will provide a proposal with further recommendations, and a quote at this point.

Contract Signed: Based on the final agreement, we draw up a contract, which includes all the details we'd agreed on. At this time, we will require an initial deposit before beginning to work on your project.

Initial Client Questionnaire: We ask you to fill out this detailed questionnaire, to learn more about your business and your objectives for the website.
Alternatively, we often go over the questionnaire with you on the phone, to help you define your specifications.

Keyword Phrases: Using the list of keywords and phrases describing your website (you'd provided on the Initial Client Questionnaire), we will do additional research, add more that are commonly searched for in the major search engines, and determine the most valuable ones to use. Strategic use of your keywords will help search engines find your site (when people search for what you're offering), resulting in more traffic to your site.

Register Domain: We will help you decide on, and register a domain name for your site, and set up your web hosting account as needed. Hosting with Zooop Design is included with a maintenance contract.

Content Delivered or Developed: You provide us with content (text) for all pages and sections of your website (for a Startup or Standard site). We may recommend copy editing or rewriting, to help maximize the effectiveness of your site. Our talented and professional copywriter is available to revise your copy, or to write new copy. Good copywriting is crucial to a website's success, and will significantly increase your credibility. It can often do the selling for you, if you're selling products and servicdes on your site. With The Works package, we will interview you, and develop content for your site.

Site Map Created : The site map is an outline of your website, listing each web page and the links from those pages. This will help us arrive at the optimal navigation structure for your website. Including a site map also helps the search engines find your site.

Design Creation: We will provide a design composite, based on your requirements, for your review. It will be on a web page, for easy viewing. We can modify any aspect of the design at this time. Before the next phase, we will require the second payment, if your fee is divided into three parts.

Website Developed: Once you've approved the design, we will build your website, providing you with review opportunities as it is being developed. We post the pages online for easy viewing.

Website Testing: Together, we test a final version of your website, and work out the bugs.

Final Version: We will incorporate any last-minute edits or changes and review and test again before your approval of the website to go live. The final payment is due upon website approval.

Website Live: We launch your website, making it publicly available to all.

Results Measured: For websites hosted on our servers, we provide you with a quarterly Website Statistics Report, reporting your site's traffic and an analysis on visitors and results. The first report is free; subsequent reports are $35 or $70 for quarterly reports for one year.

Ongoing Maintenance: We offer website maintenance and updates on a contract basis. Hosting is included with a maintenance contract.
